This is a scene from "Rubber Match: The Series", my running Battletech/Mechwarrior serie at fanfiction.net.
Amber was kidnapped by Solaris mafia, and Jeremy went on a rescue mission with 2 other guys. It turned out that the kidnapper was a martial art expert, and the other 2 guys were knocked out cold by Amber's dadao. It was up to Jeremy to save Amber and the other 2 guys. I know, I know, this is supposed to be BT/MW story. Where's the battlemech? What are these guys doing with a katana and a dadao? Well, I guess once in a while BT/MW people like to use classic weapons to fight. Victor used a katana to depose Lincoln Osis. Vlad and Phelan did it once (though I don't remember where). And Omi's assassin was assassinated by a katana. And why did Jeremy bring a katana if he never used it? Wouldn't it make him a Mary Sue?  Done in pencil, as usual. |
